Training Activities
Summer Internships
The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago plans to offer summer internships to students in both engineering and medicine as part of the RERC. The RIC will also encourage applications from collaborating institutions in order to broaden the base of training for students, particularly during the summer months when students typically have greater opportunities to attend other campuses and concentrate more effort on research endeavors. This will build on the experience of the current RERC MARS and NSF summer undergraduate internship based at RIC, which have developed successful summer internship programs with many more applicants than spaces available. Interns are trained to conduct scientific /clinical research and development, improving the knowledge and skills.
