CaLT robotic training system

Drawing shows all components of the CaLT robotic training system.

Brief Description:

Drawing shows all components of the CaLT robotic training system.

Essential Description:

A simplified 2D diagram of a 3D robot-assisted gait therapy machine. The diagram includes a line drawing of a person using the machine. Various parts are labeled, and arrows indicate directional movement of some components.

Detailed Description:

A basic line figure is walking on a modified treadmill, facing a hanging screen monitor at approximately eye level. The figure has thick straps around both ankles with separate lines from each ankle converging on one pulley in the front and one in the back of the modified treadmill. Attached to the ankle strap and hip are two small boxes with a line connecting the two through the middle. There are arrows pointing up and down, and side to side at the box at the hip along with a label for an ankle position sensor. Behind the modified treadmill is a device that connects to the top of the line figure’s harness and is labeled “Counterweight”. With this is a “Cable spool” that can go up and down and “Winch” to assist with the counterweight. A small depiction of the “Motor” for the treadmill includes a “Load cell”.
